Message :His TT will just drive like its a NA.

Wrong. An NA has a higher compression ratio and no restriction in the intake and exhaust like a TT with bad turbos has.

:All you get is loss of power from a TT. His car will start up and run and idle fine even if 1 or 2 turbos are not working as long as there is no other engine mechanical issues besides the turbos to begin with.

Wrong. When the bearing on a turbocharger goes, the shaft is able to move around, it begins to get to get play in it because the bearing is shot. When it moves around enough the turbine or the compressor will eventually interfere with the housing. This is bad in a few ways, for one thing it will no longer spin freely and the car will run like crap since the air will have trouble getting past the stationary wheels, and another more serious problem is that the pieces that break off from the compressor can make their way into the engine.

Where do you think those pieces went?
